We’re looking for a brewer to join our brewery, with operator duties for our Brewing, Cellar, and Processing team. Are you passionate about brewing beer? Then read on!

What are you going to do?

You’ll be responsible for brewing distinctive beers with maximum reliability, minimal waste, and consistent quality. You’ll not only monitor the process but also elevate it by actively contributing to improvements in technology, flavor, efficiency, and equipment management. You’ll ensure that our standards are not only maintained but also refined – with a passion for the craft and an eye for detail.

Your duties

  • Brewing on our automated brewing system with Brewmaxx;
  • Monitoring and adjusting temperature, time, and other process parameters;
  • Interpreting trends/analyses in the brewhouse;
  • Providing input into recipe development;
  • Managing cellar operations (dry hopping with our hop gun & hopsteiner, overpressurizing beer, monitoring fermentations, etc.);
  • Taking samples for laboratory analysis (pH, micro, AP);
  • Cleaning the brewhouse & cellar, including all process equipment, according to CILT;
  • Performing maintenance tasks in collaboration with the engineering and technology team;
  • Contributing to process improvement and sustainability;
  • Participating in sensory tastings and quality panels;
  • Independently and safely resolving and recording malfunctions and failures, and knowing when to call in specialist assistance;
  • Collaborating with the brewing team to meet product targets and deadlines.

Your profile

  • You have completed a vocational (MBO) or higher professional education (HBO) degree, preferably in food technology, brewery technology, or nutrition, and preferably hold an IBD certificate;
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • You have work experience in a brewery or similar production environment;
  • Technical insight and an affinity for craft beer;
  • You are willing to work shifts (6:00 AM – 10:00 PM);
  • You master the basic principles of Total Productive Maintenance and are able to explain them to others;
  • Mental arithmetic, not afraid of heights, and able to lift loads of 25 kg;
  • Cleaning and tackling is in your DNA;
  • Good command of spoken and written Dutch or English.
